Jim, a quick search indicates your site is based in Las Vegas, or at least the business is registered there but the English on the site pages sucks and at least one of the links is mis-directed. One paragraph is even in another language, Portugese I think. $150.00 per sign up is strong though, good luck.

It doesn't matter what hes talking about. I wouldn't promote a site that gives a 35% payout to their chathosts. I hate to see women been abused like that.

Being abused? You must be drinking some Irish wiskey. You have no idea what it takes to run a site if you did you would understand why they are paying out 35% to their hosts. Traffic cost money, payment processors cost money. Webmaster programs cost money. When all is said and done sites are lucky if they are walking away with 10% of the take. Hum lets do some math.
Most payment processors take 20% yes 20. 15% on the sign up and they keep 5% for 6 months in case of chargebacks. most sites drop the models 50% or more. Webmasters will not send traffic to the site now for anything less then 50% on the sign up. Which leaves a site with what? 000000 dollars. Then you have your referal programs where the payouts are just out of hand but most of them work off of upsales (if you understand what that is). Then you have server costs and bandwidth cost which can range anywhere from $190 per month to $1000.
The hosts are not being abused, the site is trying to provide the hosts with more traffic which in the end = more money for the site and the host. Why dont you open one up and see what its like before you start bashing what a site is paying out.

See now thats just interesting. I looked over both their affilate site and their cam site. They are paying their hosts 35% something to do with free chat and you make more or something like a LJ thing. Anyway they did post this for diva cash not diva cams so surly they were targeting WM. Hum so lets see. 35% to the WM 35% to the host. 20% to the CC processor, Hummmmmm how much is left? 10% OH I KNOW lets give the WM and the hosts 5% more. So in the end cam sites can make no money at all. Everyone hear who posts knows I'm all for hosts making as much as they can, in fact I have stated in the past for hosts to just go it on their own and work off yahoo and MSN from mikes site providing the traffic. I just hate it when I see host blast sites for trying to make a buck the way it's made on the net. They surly are still stuck in that cam contacts mentality where all the sites are making millions and the hosts are the ones getting screwed. lol.

Im at present working for adultwork.co.uk and I'm getting 70% of what I earn. My money is always on time and even when I have my own site up and running I will still work for them. Host should make the most money, host are the people providing the service. And by the way, CamContacts pay 50% to their host.

I wouldn't show my arse for less than 70 or 80 percent of the profit. Of course a peep at an Irish ass is a rare thing!

I'll be using bummerchat for my streaming video solution, has anyone any experience with them???

I have never worked with Bummer chat, but its a java based software and looks as tho it's hosted on their networks, which could be fine providing there are no hidden fees. The software is a rental package by the month which has good points and bad points. But the bad points I dont think would relate to you as you are no looking to own a camsite so there is no need to really own any software. If you make 70% more power to you. The site you are working on is not hosting any software, only providing a middleman service for contact with the model, so they can pay out thos numbers. Sites that work like that xxxcambabes (65% to the model) can offer the same thing and do. Problems with opening sites like that is after a few weeks 99% of the time the hosts use the site as a advertising platform and stop going threw the site for its contacts. They have the customer send them the $ threw other means. Sites that have software are working on a differant level, they are looking long term and with out software providing a cam service would be very hard. Yes we all know here how much cc pays. In fact most of us know what all the sites pay the models. You have 5 types of people at this forum. Site owners, hosts, viewers, webmasters, and lurkers.
I would still recommend to you that you sign up on Mikes site. It's free (camgirlshide) and you can do your shows via yahoo or MSN and evrey other instant messenger software out there. The trick to this game is exsposure and maximizing profit per time ratios. The highest profit you can get is 100% and the only way to do that is to work off the messenging software and advetise on the free sites. Mikes site does well for my wife and for many other hosts. You will receive a shit load of beggars but you seem to know what you are doing and can weed them out rather quickly.
One thing I would advise you is to not invest any money in this. There is no reason to. Sure a $15 a month hosted webpage can do wonders but I would not be looking to rent software from anyone. You dont know what type of bandwidth or how stable their servers are, etc. So there could always be issues. I'm sure others here would tell you the same thing. Working on your own is harder but much more profitble. When my wife does yahoo shows she can pull in 300 in a few hours. Good luck to you.

Yes I think I will go that route, yahoo, or msn. and ccbill also supports that now.

I was looking at bummerchat with interest because its only 29dollars a month and I felt that if I was only renting, I could pull out if I wasn't happy with the software. Anyway for now, I will be working for myself so maybe I'll leave the software out for the moment.

I will give mikes site a go and see how it works out for me
