Wanted to buy some webcam traffic, not many are reputable

I was looking around trying to buy some traffic, but I just don't get a good feeling about a lot of these places. Just a simple thing like being able to contact them....all I get is an email address. Is it just me, or if you are going to spend some money, shouldn't you at least be able to phone them?

I was all set to lay down a few bucks about a month and a half ago. Figured I'd do some research one day, and either buy some that day or the next. But here it is, about 40 days later, and I still haven't bought, because none of them seem all too compelling. Am I the only one that feels like that?

First of all, form what I can see, the odds of buying decent traffic is dicey and/or a crap shoot at best, and compound that with no "human touch", well, what's the point? Just walk to the front door, open it, and throw a few hundred out into the wind. Same thing, no?

That's the way it is -- if people are selling traffic it means it isn't worth much. Sorry but that's the truth. If it was any good they'd use it themselves.

Well we do cam traffic but its not by saying we will send you this many hits etc, we set u up with Overture/Yahoo Key word bidding system.. Its Yahoo after all, and its plugged into just about every large search engine site in the world..

DO NOT GOTO them and have them set it up because they will not pick Keywords that are directly related to what your site offers.. and they will set it up to spend all your money very fast. This is a warning for your own benifit, please do not ignore it.

We take 3-4 weeks to setup and optimize an account and we research the best keywords for your site.

We have conversions as low as 1 in 35 ..

You tell us what you want your monthly keyword budget to be and we set it up to spend that much and only that much.

We have several clients who use this method, some ratios are: $400/mth in marketing, they are making $5000+.. having 5-10 sales a day.

Alot of this is based on the content, are there girls on, is the site easy to navigate, etc ..

Buying traffic is a touchy subject. A lot of companies are more than happy to take your money and a lot of these are "fly by night" companies. The main reason to buy traffic is so you are introduced to new customers, right? Well, what most of these "companies won't tell you is where or how the hits are generated. Sure, your campaign is supposed to be "US or UK" traffic, but in all reality, it's most likely coming from a country that can't read your content. Some companies even use tactics like using a program to generate fake hits. They will generate an IP address that does not exist!
Unfortunately, this happens a lot. Since the internet is not well regulated, these theives just keep at it. Isn't technology wonderful? LOL !

Anyway, my advice is to not use a traffic seller who does not have a live telephone number listed on the website. Most companies, ( NOT ALL OF THEM) that don't list a telephone number, may be hiding something!

Sound like AWSP is someone I would want to deal with. They are right about optimization.

If anyone else has anything to add on this subject, just "jump right in"!
