Hi all, currently I am working as a performer on LiveJasmin.com and starting 2-3 days ago, I have a major problem with the stream: the video freezes so much!! when I try to exit it, I get a meggese saying"FireCraker encountered a problem and needs to be closed".The tech errors that I get are showing up as:
C:\DOCUME~1\nicky\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERa9b2.dir00\Video.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\nicky\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERa9b2.dir00\appcompat.txt
I am using a Dell Laptop and Win Xp Pro.My pc was rebuilt yesterday in hopes the problem would fix.No luck:( The site's support is only telling me the common solutions: reinstall the software and reinstall Java , which I did but the errors are still there.This is giving me so much stress because I am loosing all the paying customers. They just see it freezing and leave. I have used this software for a few months now with NO problems at all. Last night, I was lucky and found on a discussion forum, a topic about the same problem and the apparently solution for it.I have tryed it. No luck. Still there. My comupter has a firewall but it is turned off. Also cookies are enabled. No viruses, No spyware.Recently I have bought a new memory card so now i have 758 RAM.
I will copy and paste what I found on that forum, in hope any of you can give me another ideea or solution to this.
Thank you very much.
* Restart the computer
* At the first beep (older systems) or on the blue Dell screen (new systems), tap the F8 key (do not hold it down)
* At some point, the Advanced Options menu will appear
* Scroll to and select Safe Mode [Press the Enter Key]
* Select the first or only operating system [Press the Enter Key]
* Click Start- Run
* Type cleanmgr
* Click OK
* Put checks on everything
* Click OK- Yes
* Click Start- Run
* Type %Temp% in the Open text box, and click OK
* Delete everything you can
* Click Start- Shutdown- Restart- OK |

Maybe your new memory is bad? If that's something you changed prior to the problem I would try taking the card out. If you have re installed XP and the problem continues then it suggests hardware rather than software.

Thank you for the reply.
The momery card is good.When I was in the site'slive support, there was another girl there who was complaining about chat" turning white" every 10minutes.So I wonder if its on their end or not.Shortly after that, they announced they are going to have a international server maintainence.But then again, seems like these 2 errors are not related to their software much or they are,,..I dont know. I'm not a tech damn it lol |

hello,
I will try to help, as best i can.
you say it was working fine for a while, what did you change? Some thing had to change for it to start having problems.
Was it fine till you put the extra RAM in? Also 758megs of RAM is not a standard amount. sounds like you have a 256meg stick and a 512meg stick. This is not recommended. most computers these days wont work right unless the 2 sticks of RAM match EXACTLY. although i am not positive about this on a Dell.
RAM comes in many different types. You have RAM that runs at 400MHz PC3200 and you have RAM that runs at 266MHz PC2100. if you take an 400MHz and a 266MHz and run them on the same machine that machine tends to run like crap.. Same goes for type DDR, DDR2, etc..
If the 2 sticks of RAM you have are not EXACTLY the same type you will encounter all kinds of weird problems.
But the real simply question you need to answer is .. What changed from the time it worked to the time it didnt ... by this i mean anything along the lines of hardware changes to new software added.
Other then that, what type of cam are you using? is it possible the cam has takin a crap? try a dif cam to make sure thats not the issue. Do you have the latest drivers for the USB, or firewire, cam connection.
Drivers are a big part of things like this . dont assume you have all the current drivers unless you have gone to the appropiate site and made sure you have them. |
