| BTW forgot to mention if you go with CCBIll you will have to show past pruchase history or you will never get multible billing which is needed for a cam site. also get ready to pay up to if not over $750.00 per year to process visa. |

The 750.00 is only for canadians using visa
and they have one time billing for cam sites.
its what I use on my site. |

LOL well I dont know who told you it was only for people in canada. People should really read the site or at least get the service before giving advice on this subject. Mini this is from the ccbill site and yes I am a customer of theirs.
3. How do I register with CCBill to become a VISA USA Sponsored Merchant?
In order for CCBill.com to register you as one of our VISA Sponsored Merchants, you must:
Complete the VISA Sponsored Merchant Application, which requires you to provide pertinent information regarding your business.
Pay an Initial Registration Fee of $750
Upon receipt and review of both of the above, CCBill will submit your application to VISA on your behalf. VISA generally takes between 7-21 business days upon receipt of the application and fee to process your registration information and provide CCBill with their decision

Also everyone seems to think that the processing for a cam site threw ccbill is easy. I'm telling you from 1st hand knoweldge its not. Its not ccbill who is preventing this. It's a visa requirement for any and all adult sites that are looking to due multible billing. Multible billing means this. A customer comes into your cam site and buys $20.00. Ok thats one process threw ccbill. Now the customer spends his $20.00 the 1st day and tries to add time to his account. Well he cant. You know why? Cause the shortest amount of time ccbill will allow for a membership account on a site is 2 days. So when he goes to buy it will tell him that he already has a membership on your site an cannot purchase again. So now you need to get ccbill to release that rerstriction because that wont work for a cam site where people are known to spend/buy more then 1 show a day. In order to get them to release the 2 day membership to your site you will need to provide them with more then 6 months worth of previous sales with little to know chargebacks or customer complaints. If you have more then 2 of each, good luck cause visa will not give you the processing for their credit cards. Now you can not go with Visa and only process Mastercard and JBL and a couple of other cards, but then you are cutting off about 70% of the USA which along with the UK is about 90% of your income. If no one beleives me then contact my rep. Here's his info.

Now this is the biggest problem with cam sites. Everyone thinks you put up the site and you are rich or you are working in a month or a few weeks. I tell you no lies this is no easy thing to get started. Now on to paycom
they are a great service and chargebacks are near impossible with them. But the problem they have for cam sites is 1) the customer must install their software and then place money in his cyberwallet. Once the money is there he can send that money to anyone else who has a paycom wallet and it's secure and its hard as hell to hack as it's encrypted and so is the custermers password, excuse me "Pass Phrase: which is a major boost in security as you might get my "PASSWORD" but hacking "MY PASSWORD IS 30 DAYS OLD AND WAS MADE ON JUNE 10TH 2010". is near impossible.
Now you have other services like Ikobo, but their service sucks for sending and receiving any funds over 1k. I have used them also and you have to send them an arm and a leg to get sending limits over 10k a month. And once you get that the service still sucks as your transactions go threw only 50% of the time if you are lucky. Ok now lets go to Western Union. NO WAY IN HELL. The cost is way to high and in order to do shows with it as a site you would have to charge way to much, sending and receiving fees are crazy. And try paying your models with it. Any one outside the country in say Romania will tell you that all it takes is one letter wrong or mis-spelling and they dont get the money. And for those of you who don't know most countries outside the USA dont spell their names the way we do. Their family names come first on documents. Ok so try sending John smith money to his country and write that on the WU receipt, the person at the WU office will tell him. Sorry your ID says Smith, John. I cant give you the money it needs to say Smith, John on the WU comfrimation receipt.
Anyway good luck to everyone trying. I'm not saying you can't I'm just saying this is one of the biggest roadblocks you will come across. One last thing mini when you tell people you have ccbill as your payment processor, you should make sure your join page works and is not under constuction. May be you are using them. Who knows. |

Merchants can go to www.paymonde.com/Merchants/ to verify that today on 11-16-06 Paymonde has gone out of business without first informing their merchants....
It is good to find another source for Visa, as you will have to trust this processor with your monies, yet they are still processing... |

Juggernaut well done on an excellent post! Obviously speaking from well researched experience aswell as from the heart.
What solution WOULD you recommend then for someone starting out with a site?
Is getting your own merchant account not something one should consider? It seems like the obvious solution but I have read people describe it as risky. What are the risks?
Anyone else got any other recommendations on the "perfect" billing solution?!! |
