This may be of interest to those who have a wireless internet connection with a Intel pro/wireless 2200bg network connection. . For me this applied to camsathome and intermittently at 247live.
Using the wireless connection, there were a few internet sites I could not navigate to. I would get the blue screen of death (BSOD). The error message was Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal.
On the bottom of the screen was the driver name w22n51.sys. The w22n51.sys driver points to the wireless connection.
Looking around, I found that issues existed with the version of the driver (8.0.12.12000).
I went to the Intel site and downloaded the 9.0.1.0 version. The file name I downloaded is wireless_9.0.1.0_-_generic_TIC_90281.exe.
I then set a restore point on XP and installed the software by running the autorun program. Things worked fine after that..
Hope this helps someone.. Took me a few hours to track everything down. |

I have a wirless usb port from micosoft works great and I even bought an usb extention so I can move it around my place to get a better connection its my back up when my high speed goes done and it what I used to get started.
maybe trying going to the company website that make the wireless card to see if they made an updates
and remember if you are in an area that has some using wireless they can block you from using thier signal so soemtimes the area you are in is blocked by someone else to stop you from sharing thier connection. |

Lots of people seem to think the drivers that come with what ever it is they purchased are the latest drivers. This is WRONG, ALWAYS check for new drivers ALWAYS make sure you have all updates for your PC,
90% of the problems most people encounter are from not using the newest drivers. or not having your PC up to date.
This is a habit that you should ALL get used to doing. if somthings not working make sure you have the most recent drivers, if you do , then somthing else is wrong in most cases. |
