Delisted 13 Oct 2005 due to their own announcement they are going out of business TastyLiveA new cam site started in the earlier part of 2005 TastyLive has a pleasant design, but sadly seems to not have a lot of hosts online. Currently I can see only one model online though 80 are registered. Sensibly for a site with only a small number of people online they have a clear schedule display showing who will be on when so that you arrange your visits to see your favorites. The schedule is in a cool bar chart format that allows you to adjust it to your own time zone -- a nice touch for those of us who can't get our heads around PST/EST/DST +5 -5 and all that stuff!
Apart from this clever schedule idea the rest of the model bio pages is pretty standard; measurements, age, a few words about herself and plenty of thumbnailed pics, which zoom up to a good large size. There are large number of galleries as well which don't seem to be about the webcam chat models, nice to browse but stick to the "Online Models" page to see who you can really chat with. If you do try to click around the nice galleries you will after a while be asked to join as a registered member. You have to pay at least a minimum $5.95 "trial" -- which gets you that much credit for private chat, unlimited free chat and access to the galleries. You can pay via Visa, Mastercard, JCB or someting called "BonusCode" which I've not heard of before. Beware that the trial membership only last 7 days and is enough for only three minutes of chat -- that's about $2/minute. Buy more though and the prices get more reasonable very rapidly. Buy 30 minutes for $40 -- that's only $1.33/minute -- all the way down to the top VIP membership which is 360 minutes for $250, or $0.68/minute which is amazingly cheap. I don't see any reference to private vs group so I presume this is all group chat, though with such a small site group chat often means it's just you and the model anyway. Back to what you can get for free -- it is just a brief free video only, no text chat. There is an interesting difference for Firefox vs Internet Explorer users. If you are using Firefox then the video comes to you in a Java window, and no security warnings are seen. But if you are using Internet Explorer then it prompts you to approve an ActiveX control, or to download the video software to install yourself. The software is "livechat.cab" by EEG s.r.o, when approved it then asks you for your speed: I chose the highest and then got a video window, but with dummy text (it isn't real chat, it's just promotion). After a while it prompts you to join though -- so in the end you don't actually get to see much or to chat with her for free. Once you pay up to go into real chat it looks the same, but finally you get her attention because it's real text chat. There are also nice controls for brightness/contrast/color in case the video is too dark or something.
Bottom line is that this site does not give you much to see until you've paid -- and then if you do the pricing is very good if you are buying a lot, and still medium even if you buy a little. If you find a girl you like, and her schedule fits you, and you think you'll spend a lot of time with her -- then this could be the right site for you as you'll end up with quite a reasonable charges for a lot of time. Also known as: BeautifulCam.com, same site, different color design. You will also find the same girls working sometimes on Spread4u, but that's just because they are working two sites -- theyarelive and spread4u are not related; and spread4u is much larger, has more free chat, but is is more expensive per minute compared to the best price of tastylive. If you have any more information about tastylive, please drop me a note in the webcam forum, thanks.
