27 April 2003: Fraud, not a pretty word huh?  But one that comes up more and more in the on-line world, and especially so in the adult entertainment area.  Check out the forum where there is a section to discuss frauds.  But everything written has to be read carefully -- remember the old cartoon "On the internet nobody knows I'm a dog?"  Just because something is written on the internet does not make it true!  I would welcome any messages on what you think are honest or dishonest players (websites, chat hosts, or customers). 

18 April 2003: It has been maybe a month since Anywebcam switched over to their new "version 3" so I thought I'd take a look.  On the whole I think it's a big improvement, the screen layout and everything is cleaned up a lot and most importantly they are no longer so fussy about the version of Java you have.  Anything works now, so no more downloading 5 megabyte plug-in!  Plenty of people on line, mostly guys of course, but I did see a few girls with cams!   I got pounced on by lots of guys as soon as I entered the a chatroom!  Still, there is no hardcore going on here.  This is not an ifriends clone, more like a netmeeting with enhancements. 

15 April 2003: camatopia are offering links and archives of about 205 webcams, real amateur ones it seems.  They invite people to add their cam, but for viewers they are asking $25 a month.  It isn't at all clear what kind of cams you get for that -- I suspect they are cams that are public (free) anyway.  I suppose you are paying for the service, the archiving and so on.

14 April 2003: Sorry no updates for a while, I've been on vacation!  Getting away from it all somewhere where are no webcams.  Anyway, back now -- drop me a line to tell me which webcam site you enjoy most watching, or where it is most fun to work
