Hey, I thought u might be able to help me with a problem i'm tryin to figure out.

After having a webcam session is it possible to go thru the cache on your machine and extract the images?

Ive tried a IE cache browsing program but I didnt find any images from the webcam. Mainly just ad banners and button images.

Are webcam images in a special format?

any help to mean alot. I havent been able to find a satisfying answer anywhere.'

Great question!  Well it depends a lot on the webcam site, but many of them of them are not simply sending a picture on a webpage (so it isn't in the IE or browser cache), instead they actually have a little application, a Java Applet, that is displaying the images.

The only sure way to capture them would be to use a screen capture utility.  Try www.SnagIt.Com -- one of the most famous and fully featured.  Of course you could always use the old Print Screen button if you are satisfied with one pic!

Watch out for copyright though, many webcam site images are protected!
